This page explains how users of EphemeralSteps can request deletion of their in-app account and associated account data managed by SunSunny.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your EphemeralSteps account, send an email to: [jjmissing@gmail.com]

In your request, please include enough information for us to identify your account. Because EphemeralSteps may create accounts automatically through a device-based sign-in flow, you may not have a traditional username or password. To help us locate the correct account, please provide as many of the following details as possible:

We may ask for additional information reasonably necessary to verify that the person making the request is the account holder or an authorized person.

2. What Will Be Deleted

Once your request is validated and processed, we will delete or permanently anonymize account-linked data that is no longer required for legal, security, or operational purposes.

Account data Account identifiers, player profile linkage, nickname, and region information associated with your account.
Gameplay data Saved progress, scores, challenge status, role status, inventory, and similar gameplay records linked to your account.
Ranking data Leaderboard and ranking entries tied to your player account, subject to backup and system propagation timing.
Service data Session and account-related records that are not required to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Account deletion is generally permanent. After deletion, you may lose access to account-linked content, progress, purchases, rewards, and any other game data associated with that account.

3. What May Be Retained

Certain limited information may be retained after account deletion where retention is necessary or permitted by law.

Retained data will not be used to restore ordinary account access except where required for legal or security reasons.

4. Third-Party Services

EphemeralSteps may use third-party services, including AppLovin MAX for rewarded advertising and Google Play Billing for in-app purchase processing. Deleting your in-app account with SunSunny does not automatically delete data processed independently by those third parties under their own policies.

5. Processing Timeline

  1. We receive your deletion request.
  2. We verify the request and may ask for additional information if needed.
  3. We process the deletion or anonymization of eligible account-linked data.
  4. We send a confirmation reply when the request has been completed or if additional action is required.

We aim to complete valid requests within 15 business days. In complex cases, or where permitted by local law, we may require additional time. If that happens, we will notify you where reasonably possible.

6. Reconsideration and Partial Limitations

If we cannot fully delete all requested data, we will explain the reason, such as legal retention obligations, security obligations, or the inability to verify ownership of the account.

If you withdraw your request before deletion is completed, please reply from the same email address and clearly state that you want to cancel the deletion request.
